-The pipeline must have no restriction directly upstream or downstream of the meter.
- All flow regulating devices must be installed downstream of the meter
-When choosing an installation site, consider the meter orientation (horizontal/vertical)
- Flange gaskets must not protrude into the pipeline or be mis-aligned.
- The pipeline must be thoroughly flushed before installing the meter to prevent damage from debris.
-The flow direction of the meter must correspond with the flow direction in the pipeline
-After installation of the meter, the pipeline must be filled with water very slowly to prevent the meter being damaged by surges. Filling the pipe too rapidly can cause air / water surges which can destroy the meter insert.
The black digits on the roller counter indicate whole cubic meters. Parts of a cubic meter are indicated by the red roller counter digits or by the red sweep hands. Meters of size DN150 and larger require the roller counter reading to be multiplied by 10 or 100 for a reading to the nearest 10 or 100 cubic meters (X10 or X100 printed below the roller counter). For a reading to the nearest cubic meter, the black sweep hands must be read to X1.
